Daishin Securities said on August 13 that Classys (214150) is expected to see a sharp improvement in earnings in the second half of the year, driven by the diversification of equipment installation regions. The brokerage raised its target price from 74,000 won to 78,000 won while maintaining a “buy” rating.
In the second quarter, Classys posted revenue of 83.3 billion won and operating profit of 43.0 billion won, up 42% and 38%, respectively, from a year earlier. Operating profit slightly exceeded the consensus estimate compiled just before the earnings release.
Han Song-hyup, an analyst at Daishin Securities, said, “The key growth driver is equipment, and Classys devices have now become a must-have item in domestic clinics,” adding that products from Ilooda also contributed to domestic equipment sales growth.
In the second half, the company is expected to benefit from expanded equipment installations and the resulting increase in consumables sales. Han noted, “The Microneedle RF QuadS, launched domestically in July, is set to debut in the U.S. and Japan in the second half. The growth in installed units and the expansion of approved regions will lead to a turnaround in consumables sales.”
Regarding the share price decline following the earnings announcement, Han attributed it to “supply-demand factors,” emphasizing, “This correction presents a buying opportunity as it comes after reaffirming the strength of Classys’ core business and leverage visibility.”
