On September 8, KB Securities said that Doosan Enerbility(034020) is likely to secure large-scale nuclear power plant orders in the near future. The brokerage maintained its “Buy” rating and target price of 89,000 won.
According to analyst Hye-Jeong Jeong at KB Securities, “In addition to the Czech nuclear project, for which an order contract is expected to be signed this year, Doosan Enerbility could also secure a main equipment order next year for Westinghouse’s Bulgarian nuclear project (two units, 2.2GW). The Bulgarian government aims to finalize the contract early next year, and Doosan Enerbility is expected to receive orders for the main equipment around the same time.”
The analyst also highlighted the growing potential demand for small modular reactors (SMRs) from NuScale Power, a key partner of Doosan Enerbility. On September 2, NuScale announced that it had signed an agreement to supply the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) with SMR modules totaling 6GW.
“Given that each NuScale SMR module has a capacity of 77MW, this equates to the installation of 78 modules,” Jeong said. “Compared with the Romanian project, which involves six modules with a combined capacity of 462MW and is currently awaiting a final investment decision (FID), the scale of this new project is significantly larger.”
*[KOSPI] Doosan Enerbility(034020) (formerly Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction) engages in businesses such as power facilities, freshwater facilities, castings and forgings, construction, and construction machinery. Market capitalization is 39.52 trillion won (as of September 5, 2025, closing price).
