As of 10:55 AM, according to the Korea Exchange, the KOSPI was down 2.60 points(0.10%) at 2640.53. The index opened 6.70 points(0.25%) lower at 2636.43.
Individuals and institutions have net sold 20.7 billion won and 55.9 billion won, respectively, while foreign investors have net bought 54.1 billion won.
By sector, pharmaceutical, electrical and electronics, and construction stocks are down, while securities and chemical stocks are rising.
Among the top market-cap stocks, Samsung Electronics(005930) and SK hynix(000660) have turned negative after four consecutive days of gains, while Samsung Biologics(207940), Celltrion(068270), POSCO Holdings(005490), and NAVER(035420) are falling.
Hanwha Aerospace(012450), which dropped by 13% on the previous trading day(21st) due to a large-scale rights offering, is rebounding by 7%, and LG Energy Solution(373220), Hyundai Motor Company(005380), and Kia(000270) are seeing strong gains.
Meanwhile, the KOSDAQ index is up 4.14 points(0.58%) at 723.55. The index opened 1.98 points(0.28%) higher at 721.39, initially turning negative but then regaining upward momentum.
On the KOSDAQ, individuals have net bought 40.7 billion won, while foreign investors and institutions have net sold 37.6 billion won and 1.6 billion won, respectively.
HLB(028300) is up more than 10%, and Alteogen(196170), Samchundang Pharm(000250), and Hugel(145020) are also showing strong gains.
On the other hand, EcoPro BM(247540), EcoPro(086520), Rainbow Robotics(277810), and Kolon TissueGene(950160) are declining.
