Hyundai Glovis(086280) declined on January 13 after the U.S. government announced it would more than triple port entry fees for car carriers built outside the United States.

As of 9:53 a.m., the stock was trading at 158,500 won, down 5,300 won (3.24%) from the previous session. Earlier in the session, it fell to as low as 158,100 won.

The drop comes as higher port entry fees are expected to increase cost burdens. Hyundai Glovis primarily transports vehicles exported to the United States by Hyundai Motor and Kia.

On January 10 (local time), the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) announced that port entry fees for foreign-built automobile carriers would be set at $46 per ton, or about 65,000 won. This is more than three times higher than the $14 per ton it had signaled in June.

However, the USTR added that it would cap the number of times such fees are charged at five per year.

*[KOSPI] Hyundai Glovis(086280) is an automobile specialized logistics company established in 2001 as part of the Hyundai Motor Group's logistics integration. Market capitalization is 12.277 trillion won (as of October 10, 2025, closing price).
