On November 28, the KOSPI turned weak in the morning session as foreign investors moved to net selling. The KOSDAQ, meanwhile, traded strong with most large-cap constituents advancing.
As of 9:06 a.m., the KOSPI stood at 3,968, down 18.91 points (0.47%) from the previous session. Retail investors were net buyers of 171.0 billion won, while foreign and institutional investors were net sellers of 140.6 billion won and 26.9 billion won, respectively.
By sector, securities, medical precision, construction, transportation and storage, finance, entertainment and culture, and pharmaceuticals were slightly higher. IT services, paper and wood, transportation equipment, telecommunications, real estate, chemicals, machinery, retail, insurance, electrical and electronics, and metals traded slightly lower.
Among major large-cap stocks, KB Financial(105560), Hyundai Motor(005380), and Samsung Biologics(207940) were marginally higher. Kia(000270), Hanwha Aerospace(012450), LG Energy Solution(373220), Doosan Enerbility(034020), and SK Hynix(000660) traded slightly lower. Samsung Electronics(005930) was down about 1%.

Foreign and institutional investors were net buyers of 16.7 billion won and 25.6 billion won, respectively, while retail investors sold a net 36.1 billion won.
By sector, pharmaceuticals and chemicals gained more than 2%. Entertainment and culture, manufacturing, machinery, finance, electrical and electronics, and retail advanced more than 1%. Paper and wood, medical precision, metals, textiles and apparel, telecommunications, and construction were slightly higher. Publishing and transportation and storage traded slightly lower.
Among major KOSDAQ names, Peptron(087010) surged more than 11%. Kolon TissueGene(187420) gained more than 5%, and LigaChem Biosciences(141080) advanced more than 4%. Alteogen(196170) also rose 4%. ABL Bio(298380) and Rainbow Robotics(277810) gained more than 2%. Ecopro(086520) added 1%, while HLB(028300) traded marginally higher.
In the Seoul foreign exchange market, the won–dollar rate opened at 1,462.5 won, down 2.4 won from the previous session.
