LG Energy Solution (373220) announced on September 3 that it has signed two electric vehicle battery supply contracts with Mercedes-Benz affiliates, totaling 107 gigawatt-hours (GWh).
Under the agreements, LG Energy Solution will supply 75GWh of EV batteries to a Mercedes-Benz affiliate and 32GWh to Mercedes-Benz AG.
The contract with the Mercedes-Benz affiliate runs from July 30, 2029, to December 31, 2037, while the deal with Mercedes-Benz AG covers the period from August 1, 2028, to December 31, 2035.
LG Energy Solution stated, “The expected contract value has not been finalized. Terms such as supply volume and contract period may be adjusted later in consultation with the customer.”
